Kuwaitis clinched a further gold and bronze medal at the West Asian Billiards and Snooker Championships in Dubai, taking their tally up to five medals as the regional competition came to a close on Thursday. Bader Al-Awadhi and Omar Al-Shaheen took home Kuwait’s second gold of the tournament in the nine-ball billiards doubles, beating a side from Saudi Arabia, as Abdallah Al-Kanderi, Ahmad Abul and Abdulaziz Al-Awadhi won bronze in the snooker teams event. A standout performance by Al-Shaheen saw him earlier add two gold medals and a silver, a feat simarly achieved by his fellow compatriot Abdallah Al-Yousef while Bader Al-Awadhi also has a bronze under his belt. The competition saw players from Bahrain, Oman, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Syria, in alongside host nation, the United Arab Emirate
